The general consensus is another 3/4" or so. I can squish them enough for the shock to bottom out with more squish to go before it starts picking up the jeep. I may not need as much spacer shown in my photo so I figured to 2.25 spacers cut out of my 5/16" aluminum may be enough. If not, I'll...

Rear bump stop and shock checks. It looks like I'll need an additional 3/4" of bump stop in the rear to get 3/4" of shock shaft showing when the currie bump stops touch. Shocks are black maxx b8528 with a 14.8" compressed length. These bottom out nearly the same time the currie stops start...

    Replacement Dana 30/44 Knuckles

BBK gets my vote. I just did the 16" kit and the knuckles are much nicer than the stock units. My offer still stands on the knuckles I have though.

Best of luck to you and happy trails. You can still hang out though, chat and look at cool jeep pictures. That's all most of us of do anyway.

Locker in, air line routed without touching anything, tested and no leaks. Locker works and the final pattern looks good! Also, the refreshments are ice cold! Time for axle shafts and putting this axle where it belongs.

Front is on the ground. It's a bit tall now but it should settle some. Current spring length is just over 17". Also spent some time today prepping the Dana 44 for final install. Cutting the oil drain slots and welding the bottom to help with some of the rock shaving.

As long as my ride height is accurate at roughly 16.5" spring length at ride height, this puts me at roughly 5.25 up and 5.5 down. This is after grinding the lower shock mount a bit. The shock is now my limit for down travel. Using up the entirety of a 10.75" travel shock in the stock mounting...

    Extended Front Brake Lines

Should all be just washers in the box. The banjo bolt should be with the capliper.

    Extended Front Brake Lines

They come with a pair of copper washers. It uses a banjo bolt so you need one on each side of the block the banjo bolt runs through. Pic below shows it installed, you can see one washer. There is another under that block.

They kept bothering me when I setting the shocks up. I just flipped the block around and it moved them out the way.

Thanks! They are shiny shock bodies! I try and post pics of the process as I go since I'm a visual learner. I can ramble so pictures help break that up 😂. For up travel sake though and taking shocks out of the question to measure the absolute limit. I can currently run without the currie...

Rough measurements on these jk shocks show I would need to run the full currie stops with spacers. This allows just shy of 3/4 before the shock fully collapses. It also shows a shaft measurement of 5.125" at rough ride height of 16.5" spring length. I need to grind the shock mounts some as...

Thanks foe confirming. I have the right shocks then. Skyjacker confirmed that is just the tube number. The b8557 is a shock with similar dimensions so I would assume they probably use the same tube. Either way they said the shock number and tube number are different.

What's the part number on your shock body? I finally opened up mine and they are the wrong part number in the correct part number box skyjacker box. Very similar size but it's a b8557 and not b8575 like they should be. They are for a full size bronco according to part number. I started a...

This is what's going on tonight. I eye balled this based on the currie bump stops at full bump. I figured since they are centered on the spring mounts it had to be close. Only off by a tiny bit. Using @mrblaine method to center double check. I'll center the tie rod this way too...

Axle and high pinion Dana 44 cover cleaned up cleaned and painted today. This cover is only marginally thicker than my oem cover. It came off a 70s ford hpd44 from the junkyard. Looks aftermarket but it will do for now.
