1997 TJ 4.0 to LS 5.3 Gen 3 Swap

Motor is now complete. Wire harness is sorted out, just need to work on the fuse box. What's a good fuse box kit to use??

When you say “fuse box kit” what are you specifically needing it for?? Just a few add on circuits?? How many??

Ive used the American Autowire highway 22kit in my 78 Camaro and I forget which one in my 442….but those were complete rewiring jobs

I favor American Autowire personally

Also cost wise, will be cheaper to run the 5.3 with its 4l60e transmission compare to running with my manuel AX15?
I love the manual, but if cost difference is huge thn I may go auto. I can get the gm 4l60e transmission for $200 from the door car on which I got the 5.3 from.

I would go with a COMPLETE driveline if it works

Ive rebuilt a few GM transmissions and the 4L60e has its weak points but can be rebuilt cheap and easy with upgrades in a weekend……need a very big table tho. Plenty of resources and exploded diagrams and takedown/rebuild videos to teach any newcomer. Never be afraid

Going with the AX15. Love the manual and will cost less for this project.
