My NAPA special has lasted around 20k and 4 years according to my spreadsheet.

I don't think these matter much, you can technically drive without one

Monroe damper is fine. Lifetime warranty.

The harder the damper, the nicer the steering will be.

Get the Monroe and call it good. @jjvw makes a good point though, the harder the damper the tighter the steering. No need to spend top dollar.

There are far too many other things on these rigs that will cause you headaches in the future (trust me, I know) don’t let this one bother you.
