Ok, this has never happened before, but, my battery was dead and wouldn't start the jeep. I tried jumping with my F250, and that's when I discovered it would not stay running unless I added throttle.
Battery is on my NOCO genius charger right now. Kind of wondering if there is a relationship between the two issues?
So after being on the Noco overnight, the battery is only charged to 50%, but still climbing.
Hopefully tonight when I get home the charge cycle will be complete, and maybe she'll run correctly.
Sadly need to wait for the cycle to complete...
WOW then your battery must have been darn near drained if not completely drained? How long had it been sitting since the last time you'd started it? Or do you have a drain on your battery? Either way I'd put a trickle charger on it from now on.
It's been since our "summer play" day run at Natchez since I last started her. That was weekend of August 12th. I've had so much to do, just been ignoring the jeep. When I first bought it I had a slight drain/discharge on the battery which I couldn't find, so I sent her into a good shop which found an issue on the AC pump, that was somehow causing a drain on the system. If she starts and runs like normal once fully charged, I'll start looking for a drain, and if I cant figure it out, I'll send it out to the same shop to diagnose it.
Even if it doesn't have a drain IMO you should have a battery maintainer (trickle charger) on it. Sitting for that long of time can cause even a good battery with no drain to lose a charge.
I ruined a pair of Yellow top Optima batteries because my Jeep sat & I didn't have a trickle charger on them.
If it is a voltage sensing charger (most maintainers are) and it doesn't have a seperate "2 battery" option don't just hook them in parallel. The charger will not know the difference if one battery is at full charge and the other isn't. It will sence the full charge of the one battery and turn on/off based on the battery with the higher charge.Well, I do have a trickle charger my corvette over the winter, and jeep sits next to the vette, so once this is figured out, I'll add the jeep to the trickle charger.

If one of the vehicles sits next to a window that is exposed to a decent amount of sunlight you could use an inexpensive solar maintainer. We use on to keep the 2 Red top Optimas in our Wagoneer charged. It even works well in the winter when temps drop below zero.
Wish I could go, but on call for work this weekend :/ Definately want to Join the Reiter trip though.
@JMT sorry I will miss this trip wish I was ready. I'm getting closer and closer so hopefully you can make it back over for the Reiter trip.
I've you need a place to crash I might be able to provide a bed.
My sister's house is between Snohomish and Monroe.
We’ll see. I’ll definitely try to make it. We drove past Reiter yesterday on HWY 2. It’s such a pretty drive. Takes me about 4 hrs to get there. I need to get some air bags in the rear so I can pull the Luna. Would make sleeping much easier.
Glad to hearQuick update for anyone who cares.
After three days on the Noco, the battery has reached fully charged status.
Jeep fires right up and idles like it should.
Come say hi if you see us, we’ll be in the blue buggy and silver LJ.At this point have made plans and am heading to Elbe.
You all have fun, hope to catch up with you all when Wildman makes his debut.
Glad to hear

not going to make it tomorrow, I’ve been out a decent amount lately and going again in 2 weeks and just don’t want to drive that far for a day trip, I’m gonna head to Elbe for KOE instead though.
