You're absolutely right. Then sleeping in a tent for a week in the desert doesn't work all of a sudden
Yeah, you're way the hell out there. I'm only 1,000 miles away (one way) .
I have to say though, on the last two days the wind picked up where I was camping (BFE nowhere) and on the last night I stayed with @NashvilleTJ and his brother. Thank God. I was wind-blown and exhausted. I could barely see out my eyes for the red dust caked in them.
Part of the reason June is better IMO. Warmer weather. But we had a pretty crazy windstorm one day after the trail.

Not to long a trip for me. Keep that left door closed and you will make for a fast trip.
